Just 3 hours ago Rockman X-DiVE's official Facebook page posted this picture mentioning "new merchandise"... but no way of purchasing or any info beyond that.  Nothing posted on their official website either but be sure that I will update as soon as more info arrives!

Capcom says the live action Mega Man movie is still happening.

Yesterday Capcom of Japan released their Financial Review for the year and there was one small paragraph that is raising some eyebrows... they still plan on making the Mega Man movie!  Only two months ago we all thought this project was doomed, and to some it was a sigh of relief, and to others it was a disappointment that yet another Mega project got cancelled.  Well to those who wanted it can now get some of their hope back because it looks like there's still a chance it might get made.  (How good it will be is another matter...).  So keep your eyes and ears open for some updates on this as we find out more.

As such, to generate synergy with its popular games via greater global brand awareness and value, the Company has been producing world-leading content, with brands such as Street Fighter and Resident Evil being made into Hollywood movies, now followed by Monster Hunter and Mega Man, which are also scheduled for live-action film adaptation.

Capcom has released the Mega Man sales numbers!

In an investor relation Q&A, Capcom has finally given up the numbers to their sales and Mega Man did quite well! 

Mega Man 11 sold 870,000 units since it's launch (Oct 2nd, 2018). 

Mega Man X's Legacy Collections sold 920,000 units since it's launch (July, 2018).  

Safe to say that both of these titles did extremely well and will easily break the 1 Million sales mark soon.  Congrats on the amazing comeback Blue Bomber, we hope these sales figures will convince Capcom that this franchise needs continued love and development.

Rockman enlisted by Osaka Police for cyber security awareness.

Starting February 1st through March 18th, the Osaka prefectural Police Cyber Crime prevention spokesperson is officially Rockman!  This event is being held to raise awareness about cyber-crime and how to prevent it.  This really should have been a job for Rockman.exe, but we won't complain.  During this month long event there will be lectures, tours, robotic programming courses for the kiddies, and even some Rockman themed security gifts given out.  Rockman himself will also be awarded with a certificate of appreciation from the city!  Hopefully someone will get some pics of this and we can share them with everyone.  Check out the posters posted around town as well as the full article from the Osaka Police below.

The X series turns 25 tomorrow, could this new art be for X9?

A brand new illustration celebrating the 25th anniversary of Rockman X has been revealed and is said to be tied to a new product coming soon to E-Capcom in Japan.  The illustration was done by Keisuke Mizuno who you will recognize made the sleek X design that got used by TruForce Collectibles to make all those incredible action figures.  The Zero design also got used by Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite, but sadly no figure was made.  This new image shows us Axl in this style as well as a little peak at Alia.  Could this new product be an art print?  New figures?  Or maybe (and this might be a stretch) the Rockman X9 reveal?  Only time will tell right now, so sit tight and we'll let you know.

Rockman teams up with Red Bull to take on Tundra Man!

In a very strange collaboration, Mega Man is teaming up with Red Bull in Japan to celebrate their 30th anniversary.  So much so that they've even created an 8-Bit mini game just for the occasion that you can actually collect Red Bull cans instead of E-Tanks to power yourself up (with wings of course, duh).  The main goal of this game is to beat Tundra Man in an ice skating competition.  As weird as this all is... it's brought some really cool artwork and assets to play with, like official 8-Bit sprites and this image below which I re-created from the website asset layers.

Gold Rockman 11 amiibo... only 10 made?

Update 10/4 : This is confirmed now by Capcom Japan in the link below.  Hopefully they'll make more after this competition is over...

I can't find any info on this other than one tweet from Reploid 21XX... but apparently there's a golden version of the new amiibo and they only made 10.  WTF Japan!?  They're supposedly giving them away in a raffle to Mega Man 11 owners who register the game with them... so unless you live in Japan and are EXTREMELY lucky, we're all out of luck this time around.  😭  Japan sure is obsessed with gold lately...

Rockman Famicom cart that's a 5,000 mAh portable battery

Rockman 11 manga announced!

A brand new one shot comic is coming for Rockman 11 as announced today by Coro Coro.  The manga will be done by Ryo Takamisaki, who also did the Rockman.exe mangas.  The 26 page comic will appear in their magazine Coro Coro Aniki on September 15th and cost 667 Yen.

2 solid gold Rockman statues revealed!

Capcom TV's stream just revealed a two solid gold statues of the Blue Bomber for an extremely pricey 2,400,000 yen... which is around $21,000.00 USD, and a smaller version for 690,000 yen, around $6,200.00.  Ouch... but at least they come with really nice display cases and storage cases!
